Management Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society
The Specialist Committee on Management Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society (CPS) is administratively overseen by the School of Psychology at Henan University.
The Management Psychology Committee is composed of over 40 distinguished members from various universities and research institutions nationwide, collectively integrating core expertise in the field of management psychology research.
The primary mission of the Specialist Committee on Management Psychology is to conduct academic endeavors in the field of management psychology, foster research, cultivate talent, and advance science communication, thereby contributing to the advancement of the discipline. Management psychology delves into understanding, elucidating, and predicting individual behavior, group dynamics, and organizational strategies and patterns of change in the workplace, with the aim of enhancing work and management efficacy. In recent years, the application of management psychology across various organizational settings has given rise to several interdisciplinary domains, including but not limited to leadership psychology, personnel psychology, decision-making psychology, occupational psychology, and organizational psychology.
Since its inception, the Specialist Committee on Management Psychology has been dedicated to navigating the increasingly intricate, dynamic, and evolving research landscapes shaped by economic globalization, workforce diversification, the rapid advancement of the Internet, and the evolving nature of work content and organizational contexts. Emphasizing a practice-oriented approach, the committee has undertaken a series of distinctive research endeavors focusing on self-management, technological management, societal management, market management, organizational management, growth management, and environmental management. Furthermore, rooted in the Chinese context, the Specialist Committee on Management Psychologyactively engages with pressing societal issues and conducts impactful science popularization and communication activities. It also organizes conferences in areas such as organizational management, team development, human resources, and cross-cultural management, contributing significantly to societal discourse and exerting positive social influence.
The Specialist Committee on Management Psychology convenes a national academic conference biennially, alongside periodic research seminars in collaboration with schools of psychology and business across the nation, focusing on the field of Management Psychology (Organizational Behavior). Through these endeavors, the committee fosters an academic community, facilitates scholarly exchanges, drives theoretical innovation, nurtures outstanding talents, and contributes to the application of management and organizational governance in China. By doing so, it aims to make significant contributions to the overall well-being of society.
