Mindfulness Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society
The Specialist Committee on Mindfulness Psychology, approved for preparation on May 22, 2021, and officially established on May 27, 2022, comprises professionals dedicated to basic and applied research in Mindfulness Psychology. The committee consists of 47 members from 32 esteemed colleges and universities across China, featuring influential senior experts and young and middle-aged academics primarily focused on psychological development and education.
The primary goal of committee is to gather, unite and organize professional practitioners in the field of mindfulness psychology in China, to actively convene academic activities in mindfulness psychology and related fields, to promote the construction and innovative development of mindfulness psychology, and to contribute to the enhancement of people's physical and mental health.
The primary responsibilities of the Specialist Committee on Mindfulness Psychology encompass the following key areas:
1. Regularly organizing the National Academic Conference on Mindfulness Meditation and holding periodic committee meeting to facilitate academic exchanges and advance the development of mindfulness Psychology.
2. Actively coordinating professionals' participation in international and domestic academic conferences, creating a communication platform for the theoretical and empirical research findings in mindfulness psychology, and supporting the scientific research and promotion of positive mindfulness applications.
3. Conducting regular professional training sessions and practical seminars in relevant fields to foster the application and dissemination of mindfulness psychology.
4. Initiating the production of professional literature in related fields, establishing industry standards for mindfulness based interventions, developing tools, manuals, and other achievements to provide scientific support for the construction and advancement of mindfulness psychology.
