The committee's mission is to blend basic and applied research in psychology with interdisciplinary strengths, acting as a think tank for political consultation. Its goal is to contribute to solving practical problems in social governance and developing a social psychological service system. The primary areas of focus encompass:
First, facilitating research on psychology and social governance, offering theoretical and technical support from a psychological perspective to enhance and innovate social governance.
Second, arranging regular conferences and forums on psychology and social governance to establish an academic platform. This initiative encourages exchanges among scholars from different disciplines, including those from the Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and international scholars, fostering collaboration between researchers and practitioners.
Third, strengthening connections with relevant government departments, providing policy advice, and supporting the practical implementation of social governance. The committee aims to embed the concept of psychology contributing to social governance in public awareness.
Fourth, actively organizing research, developing processes, standards, and training programs related to the application of psychology in social governance. This effort aims to provide standardized and professional psychological support for specific social governance tasks and practitioners.
