EEG-Related Technologies of the Chinese Psychological Society

The Specialist Committee on Electroencephalography (EEG) -related Technologies was established by over 40 distinguished experts in the field, representing 30 research institutes and universities across the nation. It received formal approval for establishment at the Executive Council of the CPS on May 6, 2017, and was officially founded on July 27, 2018, following the Executive Council's endorsement.

The committee's primary objective is to unite and coordinate professional practitioners specializing in EEG and related technologies nationwide. Its mission is to advance domestic EEG technologies, facilitate academic exchanges, and contribute to the application of scientific research in psychology and other related fields.

The committee's key responsibilities include:
1. Host seminars featuring domestic and international EEG experts to explore research hotspots, new technologies, and development trends in EEG within psychology, medicine, and neuroscience.
2. Facilitate collaborative research on EEG and its associated technologies both domestically and internationally.
3. Establish a platform for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to engage in communication and learning opportunities.
4. Drive the advancement and application of psychology and cognitive neuroscience in China through ERP and related technologies.
5. Foster the development and application of EEG and related technologies, including near-infrared and electromagnetic stimulation instruments.

Notable academic activities include the Annual Brain Imaging and EEG Research and Application Symposium, organized five times, and the ERP EEG Advanced Workshop, conducted over 10 times since 2001. These initiatives have cultivated numerous EEG/ERP technical talents, creating a substantial and far-reaching impact in the EEG field in China.
