Legal Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society

Established in 1983, the Specialist Committee on Legal Psychology is a leading national academic organization dedicated to legal psychology, criminal psychology, and judicial psychology in China. Renowned criminal psychologist Dr. Luo Dahua of China University of Political Science and Law was a long-term president. The committee consists of 50 members from across the country.

The Legal Psychology Committee is the most authoritative and influential entity in its field, committed to advancing and popularizing legal psychology, criminal psychology, and related areas, as well as facilitating the transformation and application of this knowledge.

The committee's responsibilities encompass organizing academic exchanges, bridging theory and practice, coordinating research and development, and enhancing competence of professionals nationwide. In recent years, the committee has undertaken comprehensive research on topics such as risk assessment and correction of criminals, psychological skills training for judicial social workers, criminal psychology testing techniques, interrogation and prevention of occupational crimes, and psychological responses to terrorist crimes, yielding significant outcomes.
