Decision Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society
The Specialist Committee on Decision Psychology was officially established in 2014 under the guidance of Principal Investigator Shu Li. The committee comprises both young and senior professionals dedicated to fundamental and applied research in decision psychology, boasting 50 members from 30 universities or research institutions, contributing to the accelerated development of decision psychology in China.
The primary objectives of the committee include building an international academic exchange platform for decision-making researchers across various fields such as psychology, management, and economics. It seeks to compile and publish academic journals and books on decision psychology, provide consultancy services for enterprises and governmental organizations, conduct training in applied techniques and methods in related fields, and apply decision psychology theories to significant real-world decisions that impact the national economy and the well-being of the population.
The main activities of the Committee on Decision Psychology are as follows:
1. Organizing and conducting decision psychology research to promote academic exchanges and cooperation, thereby expanding academic influence.
2. Periodically organizing academic conferences and seminars on decision psychology to foster the development of the discipline. The committee has already organized four international symposiums on "Decision-making and Brain Research" (2013, 2014, 2016, 2019) and two symposiums on "Dual Brain and Decision-making" (2018, 2020).
3. Organizing publications on decision psychology. The committee has opened columns on the psychology of decision-making in the journals of “Advances in Psychological Science” and “Acta Psychologica Sinica,” providing a platform for members to showcase their scientific research achievements.
