Educational Psychology of Chinese Psychological Society
The Educational Psychology Committee, established in 1962, is the oldest professional committee under the Chinese Psychological Society. With a history of over 60 years, it has been led by esteemed directors including Professor Pan Shu, followed by Professors Liu Zhaoji, Zhang Zhiguang, Zhang Biyin, Shen Jiliang, and Chen Yinghe.
The Educational Psychology Committee comprises experts specializing in both fundamental and applied research in educational psychology. Currently, the committee has 49 members from 33 universities across China, all of whom are esteemed senior professionals and emerging academic experts in psychological development and education.
The mission of the Educational Psychology Committee is to gather and unite practitioners in the field of educational psychology, organize various academic activities related to educational psychology, promote the construction and innovative development of the discipline of educational psychology, and provide a scientific basis and support for educational teaching reform, contributing to the prosperity of educational psychology and the scientific and healthy development of education in China.
The main responsibilities of the Educational Psychology Committee include the following:
1. Organizing a national academic conference in educational psychology every two years and holding an annual committee meeting to foster the prosperity and development of the discipline of educational psychology.
2. Facilitating and conducting research in educational psychology and related fields, creating a platform for the exchange of theoretical and empirical research findings, and offering intellectual and technical support to education reform and educational decision-making processes.
3. Regularly conducting professional training and seminars in relevant fields to promote the practical application of educational psychology in national educational reform efforts.
4. Coordinating the creation of professional books, tool manuals, and other achievements in related fields to provide scientific support for the construction and advancement of educational psychology as a discipline.
