Mental Processes Modeling of Chinese Psychological Society
The Mental Processes Modeling of the Chinese Psychological Society (CPS) was founded in January 2026, with Professor Shen Mowei serving as its first Chairperson.
The committee consists of 50 members from 25 domestic relevant academic institutions, covering various research areas of psychological modeling, including dynamic cognitive processes, cognitive neural mechanisms, decision-making processes, and social cognition etc.
The Mental Processes Modeling of the Chinese Psychological Society is committed to conducting academic exchange activities in the field of psychological modeling, building an interactive platform for domestic and foreign researchers in psychological modeling, pooling the efforts of outstanding scholars, and promoting the development of psychological modeling research and education in China.
The main work of the Society includes the following:
- Regularly holding national academic conferences and working meetings, focusing on discussing important scientific issues and research methods in psychological modeling, exchanging the latest findings and key knowledge, and building a high-quality cross-disciplinary academic exchange platform.
- Promoting the transformation and application of the findings from psychological modeling research, participating in the development of industry standards, providing technical consulting services, and organizing science popularization activities, leveraging the critical value of psychology in promoting the development of new quality productive force in the intelligent era.
- Constructing a talent training system for psychological modeling, supporting the growth of young scholars, promoting relevant educational reforms, organizing the compilation of professional textbooks, and conducting modeling skills training.
